Anne Patronoff appointed Chairman of MIJE

In June 2024, Anne Patronoff took over from Olivier Hindermeyer, who became Honorary President of the association in recognition of his essential investment in MIJE.

Five years after her arrival as an administrator and then as a member of the Bureau, Anne Patronoff was naturally elected President of the association.

This woman has always been involved in teaching, first as a PE teacher, then as a headteacher, and she has always listened carefully to teachers’ requests for mobility. She knows the fears and difficulties of teachers, but also those of pupils and their families. But for her, ‘school trips are essential to prevent us from becoming a closed society. It’s vital to facilitate 1st departures and remove the obstacles.

On the strength of this experience and this observation, she wishes to make this a major focus of her term of office. She wants to create a dynamic to overcome the apprehensions linked to the risks of school trips perceived by teachers, children and their parents. The steady increase in the cost of school trips is a real problem, and one that has been clearly identified by the association. She is well aware of this difficulty and wants to make it a ‘banner’ of her commitment.

This determined woman also has a number of projects in mind that she hopes to bring to fruition during her term of office.

First of all, it advocates collaborative governance with committed people from different backgrounds, enabling a multiple and diversified approach.

She knows that an association that lasts over time, that is useful and effective on a daily basis in terms of its educational project, is an association that has been able to forge a solid link between volunteer administrators (100%) and committed, professional employees. In terms of her commitment to the heart of the Marais, Anne Patronoff would like the association to further strengthen its links with local players (associations, schools, municipal services, etc.). She is convinced of the merits of the association’s accommodation sites in the capital, which enable children and young people from all over the world to discover Paris at acceptable prices, and also to create local places where people can share and live together.

Finally, the issues of inclusion and ecological transition, which it shares with the City of Paris, are already an integral part of its work.

So the roadmap has been mapped out. Anne Patronoff is now responsible for its implementation.
