MIJE Marais Fauconnier – Youth hostel in Paris
In the heart of the Marais district, the MIJE Fauconnier hostel is one of the few Clé Verte-labelled hostels in Paris. This sustainable tourism label rewards responsible businesses committed to an environmental approach. Our MIJE Marais hostels are approved by the French Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for school trips. The MIJE Fauconnier hostel has 131 beds in 35 private or shared rooms.
The hostel is fully equipped with adapted signage (for the visually impaired in particular) and our staff have been trained to welcome people with disabilities. An access ramp for people with reduced mobility (PRM) is available to reach reception. 10 beds are accessible on the Fourcy level only, to accommodate PRMs.
Just a 10-minute walk from Notre-Dame or the Bastille Opera, MIJE’s youth hostels are an ideal place to start your visits on foot during a stay in Paris. Thanks to the many means of transport nearby, you can also get to the must-see places in Paris, such as the Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré-Coeur.

MIJE Fauconnier, an unique youth hostel in the Marais district
Inhabited as early as 1265, the rue du Fauconnier takes its name from the Hôtel de la Fauconnerie, a house that was lived in by the great “Falconer Governor of Birds of Prey” in the 13th century. It was also called “rue des Fauconniers”, “rue Fauconnière”. In turn it was home to Beguines in the Ave Maria convent, which was transformed into barracks after the Revolution, then a college, a covered market and a school. Breakfast is included in the price of your reservation. We provide you with lockers to keep your belongings safe, wifi, common areas with activities (table football, piano, board games etc.). You can also access additional services such as towels.
