{"id":19361,"date":"2024-04-29T09:54:14","date_gmt":"2024-04-29T07:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mije.com\/uncategorized\/semaine-sport-inclusion"},"modified":"2024-11-16T20:01:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-16T19:01:24","slug":"semaine-sport-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mije.com\/en\/inclusion-sport-week","title":{"rendered":"Inclusiv&#8217; Sportival : The week of inclusion through sport"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column]<div class=\"mije_gt_30\"><h1>Inclusiv&#039; Sportival: The week of inclusion through sport<\/h1><\/div>[vc_single_image image=&#8221;19327&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>90 days before the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games<\/strong>, the MIJE association is organising an <strong>\u2018INCLUSIV\u2019 SPORTIVAL\u2019 week of events dedicated to inclusion through sport, from 3 to 8 June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative for the \u2018INCLUSIV\u2019 SPORTIVAL\u2019 project is rooted in an approach initiated by MIJE a few years ago, aimed at making school trips and accommodation for school groups and individuals in its youth hostels accessible to ALL.<\/p>\n<p>The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are another driving force: a world-renowned sporting event that embodies strong values of inclusion and equal opportunities, whatever the challenges to be overcome.<br \/>\nIt is in this context of strengthening an internal inclusive policy and celebrating Paralympic values that the Sport and Inclusion project has taken shape.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2018Our aim here is to co-construct a social project based on solidarity, so that everyone can come and discover and share experiences of community life, with the aim of raising awareness, valuing and normalising differences between individuals\u2019. R\u00e9my Vernay, General Delegate of MIJE<\/h5>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<h3 class=\"mije_st_22\" style=\"text-align:left\">Aims for the week :<\/h3>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Raising awareness<\/strong> of inclusion and disability among children and young people.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote<\/strong> people with disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create meeting places<\/strong> that promote social cohesion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<h3 class=\"mije_st_22\" style=\"text-align:left\">Week schedule :<\/h3>[vc_column_text]The activities will take place throughout the week of 3 to 8 June 2024 at partner schools and colleges in Paris (Ecole Moussy, Lyc\u00e9e Verlaine, Ecole Hospitali\u00e8re, Ecole Georges Gusdorf, IME de l&#8217;Ourcq, Ecole Neuve Saint Pierre, etc.) and in the MIJE Marais hostels.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Discovery of 7 handisports and adapted sports <\/strong>: C\u00e9cifoot, wheelchair basketball, boccia, seated volleyball, adapted archery, torball, baskin with handisports olympiads and tournaments&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Educational activities<\/strong> : Workshops and exhibitions to raise awareness of disability, virtual reality sport, awareness trail, exhibition on the Olympic Games over the years, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"bloc_double_image_text row\"><div class=\"col-md-12 text-right\"><a class=\"red_button\" href=\"https:\/\/documents.mije.com\/mije\/Programme_de_la_semaine_Inclusiv_Sportival.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">>>D\u00e9couvrez le programme complet<\/a><\/div><\/div><h3 class=\"mije_st_22\" style=\"text-align:left\">Take part in our events !<\/h3>[vc_column_text]In addition to the week&#8217;s workshops, which are reserved for partner schools, there will be 3 events open to everyone during the week:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 film-debates on the theme of inclusion will be held at the MIJE Fourcy hostel (6 rue de Fourcy, 75004):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday 5 June at 8pm: \u2018<strong>The colour of victory<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This film recounts the incredible story of Jesse Owens, the African-American athlete who defied racism by winning four gold medals at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, under the Nazi regime. The film screening will be followed by a time for discussion and debate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday 7 June at 7pm: \u2018<strong>Petite fille<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Born a boy, Sasha is nevertheless a girl. S\u00e9bastien Lifshitz has succeeded in telling the story of the extraordinary destiny of a child aged just 8. With gentleness, great precision and just the right amount of romantic grandeur to surround Sasha&#8217;s extraordinary yet formidable destiny, \u2018Petite fille\u2019 lives up to its name.
