Are MIJE hostels open to all ? Are they accredited ?

MIJE youth hostels are open to all, and have specialised in hosting groups of young people for almost 50 years.

We are approved by the Jeunesse et Education Populaire (Youth and Popular Education) and are registered in the directory of reception and accommodation centres authorised by the Paris Academic Directorate. Our establishments have a “local” number attesting to their declaration to the DDCS 75 as a collective reception of minors (ACM). The approval number is 75 JEP 04-193.

Since 2022, our hostels have been Eduscol approved for school groups.

What are the rates for groups ?

Group rates vary according to the season.

How do I book a stay for a group ?

First of all, we advise you to consult the presentation and prices of our establishments : www.mije.com/en/youth-hostel-in-paris/group-rates-youth-hostel-in-Paris.
If you would like to know our availability, make an appointment with a consultant on www.mije.com/en/make-appointment-online.
Is your stay in PARIS confirmed by your organisation? You can make a reservation request by completing this online form.
A dedicated consultant will be your contact to organise your stay and will send you a price proposal.
In case of unavailability, we will inform you of the lack of places.

What are the catering options (in-house and takeaway) and diets ?

For groups, we offer half board (weekdays only) or breakfast. => Our menu
Breakfast is continental: hot drinks (coffee, tea or chocolate), milk, orange juice, cereals, baguette and cereal bread, pastry bar, marble cake, jam, honey, natural yoghurt, compotes.
Dinners must be booked in advance. At each meal, you will have a choice of starter, main course and dessert.
We offer varied and balanced menus every day as well as vegetarian menus, on request, to be booked before your arrival. We do not have any other menus adapted to special diets or religious diets.
Pic baskets can be booked for your group. Please ask your consultant at least 2 weeks before the start of your stay.

In which MIJE Marais hostel will I stay ?

The 3 youth hostels, Fourcy, Fauconnier and Maubuisson, are located in the Marais district, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, very close to each other. The rooms will be allocated to you according to the composition of your group.
The name and address of the hostel in which you will stay is at the discretion of MIJE and will be specified to you when the room allocation is sent to you approximately 8 days before your arrival.

What type of room will my group be staying in ?

Group participants are accommodated in multiple rooms of 3 to 10 beds; and group leaders in single or twin rooms. Most rooms have bunk beds.
We apply a principle of non-mixing in the rooms which are privatized for each group.
All our rooms are equipped with private bathrooms (shower and washbasin). The toilets are located outside the rooms. Beds are made up on arrival. Towels are not provided.
Rooms are allocated according to the composition of your group and are at the discretion of the MIJE.

WHAT TIME ARE THE ROOMS AVAILABLE ?

Rooms are available from 3pm on the day of arrival at the hostel and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure.

Do the MIJE hostels have a luggage room ?

Each hostel has a luggage room which is available free of charge on arrival and on the day of departure. You can use it on the day of arrival if you arrive before 3pm and on the day of departure, after you have checked out of your room (12pm at the latest).
For security reasons, each piece of luggage must be fitted with a lock and labelled visibly with the name and contact details of its owner.

Are meeting rooms available ?

Each hostel has a communal area, with tables and chairs, which is open to all guests and cannot be used privately. Two meeting rooms at Fourcy Youth Hostel can be rented for half a day or a day.

What payment methods are accepted ?

Bank transfer, online payment by credit card and cheques (bank account in France) are accepted.

Do MIJE hostels have accessible rooms for people with reduced mobility ?

Yes, 4 rooms are adapted for people with reduced mobility, within the Auberge Fourcy.
Specific needs must be expressed at the time of booking in order to check the availability of rooms and to welcome you in the best conditions (with your travel consultant).

How to get to the MIJE youth hostels ?

The hostels are served by several means of public transport: metro line 1 (Saint Paul) or 7 (Pont Marie) and bus 96 (Stop Rue de Jouy or Saint-Paul) or 67 (Stop Pont Marie).
By tourist coach: The Paris City Council has introduced the PASS Autocar for tourist coaches. All information on: www.passautocar.paris.fr/.

The nearest drop-off point is located at 118 avenue Victoria 75004 PARIS (next to the town hall)

What services and shops are available near the hostels ?

Just a few steps away from our establishments, you will find all the amenities and shops: a pharmacy, doctor, small supermarkets, restaurants, boutiques….

Are there any permanent staff at the MIJE establishment ?

Each of our accomodation is staffed 7 days a week. During the day, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., our team of receptionists will welcome and advise you. At night, our night watchmen are on duty. The night watchmen are all trained in first aid.
